After many “planned maintenance “ messages you still cannot fix the problem that many have complained about for years. That is, the app does not refresh unless I perform a function to wake it up. Set a timer in the software to refresh the app every 60 seconds. Why is this so hard for you to understand?
The app does set schedules, as most do. As for helping you understand and compare heat pump use over time it is no better than your own limited memory. It only keeps a few months of history. So compare this January to January 2024. Nope cannot do that. It does let you know that the heat pump ran more in January than in the previous October. Hardly useful.
Honeywell TCC much better
Really hate this as it goes into a mode all the time and makes it hot or cold when it was perfect whew I set it. Just leave it alone stop messing with my temp!!!
The stupid app thinks “everyone is away” even if I’m home. There’s no way to force it to calibrate or check. Everything I’ve done has been unsuccessful. The program happened to me in T5, T6, T9, and T10 that I have. My home is stuck on the Away schedule which effectively turns off all my HVAC.
App constantly logs me out and I have to manually type in all my credentials and has constant issues connecting to my WiFi
After working for 5 months to control and monitor my thermostats it got upgraded. It lost my log in. I reset my password and now all I get is a white screen of death.
I used this app to change temp schedule or control temp while away from Home. For some reason now says OFFLINE, I’ve called customer service to help me and deleted app and reinstalled but same issue. Does anyone else have this problem?
Love it for setting schedule or turning off or on anywhere!
In the past, I’ve been able to control my thermostats on my Apple Watch. But recently, the Resideo app has disappeared from the list of available apps. Why?
Recent updates to this app hav been terrible for functionality. When I try to adjust my schedule, the changes never save, it crashes often, and is not performing at the standard such a simple app should. Very frustrating.
Won’t refresh data properly. You have to completely exit the app and restart it for it to function correctly.
Last night 4/3/25 I updated my iPhone to v18.4. Your app is asking me to Log in again and when I enter them it DOESN’T recognize them? (Userid & Password) I have NOT changed them so not sure why it’s not working.
My Honeywell thermostat functions appropriately to manage my boiler and heat pump. But for some reason the programmers have chosen not to give me real time run time. I don't actually get the running time of my system, and therefore be able to account for my electricity use, for 3 to 4 days after the event. Since the people at Resideo get my data on a continuous basis there is no reason that data can't come back to my app.
Again - Lately, bugs seem to be added, not fixed. Any adjustments made to temperature or schedule are *NOT* saved until the process is repeated 2-3 times for each step. Can’t change a time and temperature setting at the same time, have to adjust the temperature, save, go completely out of the “schedule”… then repeat for the time. It MIGHT save, it might not. Repeat for each change. If you have 4-5 different settings for each day, you will have to adjust it 2-3 times per time/temp for every day. It used to be a simple process, now it’s a Rube Goldberg machine that takes many tries to get it right.
I really find all the 4-star reviews a bit suspicious. I mean I *like* the app. It’s great to be able to adjust my thermostat from my phone, but it has some significant drawbacks. It takes itself security a bit too seriously. Security is great, but honestly, is someone going to be interested in setting my thermostat to pull a prank on me. It’s me. On my phone. I should not have to enter a pin ten times a day. And even being super-secure putting my pin in all the time, the app rarely accurately reflects my thermostat’s actual settings unless I terminate the app and start over (again entering my pin). I mean, I have an excellent WiFi signal—why not be accurate? So for me, there’s no way I’d give the current experience with this app a 5-star rating. It could be so much better.
DARK MODE PLEASE!
It is so nice for my husband to preheat the garage before he goes out there each day, and seeing the temperature in the garage is awesome as well. Great technology
Can you add the Apple Watch back to this app? I like that feature and it just got removed.
Of course an app’ is a great step forward from going to the thermostat, especially the one upstairs or when away; but, the Resideo User Interface is a waste of space. Only one thermostat is available at a time. Important information is not presented on the top page; humidity, mode(cool/heat/emergency heat) and cumulative hours. The vast majority of the screen is devoted to the weather (not controlled by the app’) and the bottom third, where controls ~should~ be, is a useless gray space with a button to add devices which belongs under a menu. An interaction with the app’, which should take nothing more than a glance, often takes navigation to several pages and grabbing my readers to see the humidity. To add insult, when you do navigate to the pages with the additional information and controls, it splash’s a pop up asking you to setup geofencing or scheduling even after repeatedly responding: ’Do not ask again.’ I have enough experience with industrial controls to realize this app’ UI was written by a thermostat designer ~not~ an app’ designer. A thermostat app’ is very nearly a royal scepter; Resideo is not its jewel.
I love the option of being able to change my thermostat settings on the go, and to set a schedule through the app. However, half the time I open the app it doesn’t require my passcode, and any changes I make don’t save. I constantly have to close out and restart the app. This has been an issue as long as I’ve used the app (2 years). Hope this gets fixed.
App is total garbage. Thermostat constantly gets removed from app and you have to connect it which takes multiple attempts. Do yourself a favor and get a Nest thermostat
Me parece excelente poder manejarlo desde mi celular rápido y si salgo tengo control fuera de casa me encanta
This app is probably as worthless as any mobile app I have ever used. It will not keep you logged in even when you have used it 30 earlier. And every time you try to log in, the login fails with incorrect password, forcing you to hit the ”forgot password “ reset link. You then have to wait for an email code, and reset your password all over again. Enabling a code for login in the app or enabling Touch ID for logging in also does not work. Essentially, you have to reset your password every time you try to use this worthless app. What use is an app that makes it this hard to just log in? I will answer that question, it is worthless.
app is ok. annoying because it logs me out almost weekly so constantly having to log back in and it never stores password.
Thermostat and app have no auto mode?? So it can’t switch between heat and cool automatically. Seems outdated
Fairly easy to use
UPDATE 3/26/25 - latest update to the app seems to have fixed the issue. I appreciate the response! After the update from a day ago I can no longer switch priorities between rooms on different levels of my home on the app. I can still do this on the thermostat directly thankfully. Whatever you did- please undo it!
Does not allow setup of allT6 professional install setup options. Does update schedule until save is pressed and must create new schedule to make changes.
I’m not sure what happened to the Resideo app, but after the latest update more or less I stopped being able to select the main T9 Thermostats as one of the priority areas. I’m only allowed to select the extra sensors I have as priority areas but none of my two T9 thermostats. Please fix this issue soon [update] latest app update released on Sunday took care of the issue. App is working fine with all thermostats and sensors in my home.
Thx for updating the app. It resolved the issue Of missing sensors for my devices.
My Face ID is not working?
Now that a problem has been fixed, the app is great. Very handy to check on my home when I’m out of town.
When I trying to lower or raise the temperature in the app, nothing happens. It doesn’t respond
Before the newest update, when you went to “Priority” the thermostat and sensors would appear so you could choose which rooms you wanted to prioritize. Now only the sensors are appearing. If you go to the thermostat itself, it shows the thermostat and sensors so it’s clearly an app issue. Please fix and send out an update.
Update: The recent update (3/23/2025) fixed the issue with my sensor/thermostat disappearing. Original Post:After updating the app I noticed that my hallway sensor is missing and it’s messed with my current schedule settings.
I now have 2 locations with the same thermostats (as of 3/17/25). Everything shows up fine in the online web site. However, this app only shows the first location. Also, there used to be an Apple Watch app but that has disappeared as well. What is going on ? I tried to delete the app and download it again but that didn’t change anything.
This platform is buggy and inconsistent. It presents errors about wrong passwords even after a reset. Sometimes it messages that a password reset has been sent to my email but they never arrive.
After the 6.16.0 update in March 2025, the main thermostat is not showing up in the priority room list on the app. Please fix.
Why since the last update my hub device doesn’t show up on the Priority screen? Only my remote device in my bedroom shows up.
Terr
The app is alright, but is underwhelming. Usage info is delayed by several days and only has the total time by day, week, month or year. Recently my thermostat has disappeared from the Priority, and it’s only displaying the sensors.
Good app
Have to restart app every time you want to see realtime thermostat settings. Completely pointless & lazy programming. Uggghh !!
The proximity settings and Log in settings definitely need some fine tuning. My app logs me out regularly and does not save my log in information correctly causing me to be locked out
After updating the app to ver 6.16.0, i’m having issues with selecting temp priority. My sensors are showing up under the priority option on the app but my thermostat isn’t showing up anymore. This makes it impossible to set the priority back to just the thermostat temp via the app. I have go to the thermostat menu itself to set it to use the thermostat temp reading. It was working before the update. Please advise.
Looks like the last release removed the thermostat from the average when using remote sensors. Now only the external sensors detect temp.
Always have to close the app down to reconnect to my thermostat. I’m sure this could be an easy fix.
